Cuba, Mo., man in serious condition after motorcycle strikes deer in Crawford County

One person was hospitalized after a single-vehicle accident on Thursday in Crawford County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported that a 2003 Honda Motorcycle was traveling north on Highway P at Windle Road.

Around 8 p.m., a deer entered the roadway, causing the motorcycle to collide with the animal.

The 67-year-old male driver from Cuba, Mo., began sliding and was ejected from the bike.

The man was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur to receive treatment for his serious injuries.

MSHP noted that he was wearing a helmet when the incident occurred.
